Where we started from...
We started our Spiritual Journey passed on for 6 generations of our Holy Saints & Forefathers – and that lead to our forty into education but keeping in line our principles and ethos Sri Manik Prabhu Devasthanam is a Hindu temple located in the Manik Nagar near, Humnabad in the state of Karnataka, India Manik Prabhu selected Manik Nagar as the significant and ideal place to lay the foundation of spiritual centre. Manik Nagar is located on high slope grounds. Manik Prabhu temple lies on the outskirts of Humnabad, a kilometer away from this taluka. People believe that Manik Prabhu, the renowned saint, was fourth incarnation of Lord Dattatreya.
Origin
The Manik Public School was established on 27th July 1972, in Maniknagar, Karnataka. Currently located on the hillock called Manigiri, the 72-acre campus combines modern amenities with the scenic beauty of nature.
The Manik Public School is named after the great Indian philosopher and Saint Shri Sadguru Manik Prabhu Maharaj (1817-1865) who practiced and preached ‘Sakalamata Siddhant’, a rich principle of life that binds humanity as one through love.
Maniknagar, the tri-land area founded by Shri Manik Prabhu Maharaj in 1845, is a cohesive place of spiritual, cultural, and educational activities. The Manik Public School is situated in this historically significant location, giving scholars a peaceful atmosphere to learn, lead and contribute.
The fifth Peethadhipati of Shri Manik Prabhu Samsthan, His Holiness Shri Siddharaj Manik Prabhu Maharaj was attending The Scindia School in Gwalior when he observed that the people of the Northern Karnataka region were deprived of quality education and modern facilities.
With a desire to empower the underprivileged people of the Northern Karnataka region, H.H. Shri Siddharaj Manik Prabhu Maharaj founded a public school (now The Manik Public School) with Shri J. L. Dar, an eminent educationist and Former Principal of The Scindia School who later became the Founder Principal of The Manik Public School.
Passion, unending determination, and impeccable vision were some of the few elements that comprised the mission to establish a formal educational institution that would provide modern education to the neglected populations of the rural regions.
